Classic Article:You Can Run...

The old saying "you can run, but you can't hide!" has been repeated by bad-guys across the ages. It doesn't, however, hold up to these threats.

Do not run away from bears. Whether you happen to stumble across one while hiking or find it looting your trash, it's simply a bad idea. Bears can run roughly thirty miles per hour. If you encounter a bear, back away slowly. They generally want to be left alone. There are only 40 bear attacks globally per year.

Attacking or aggressive dogs shouldn't be run from, either. Firstly, try not to excite a dog. Don't run from an attack. That may provoke the dog. Don't stare down the dog, either. It looks threatening. Don't smile AKA bare your teeth. Slowly back away from it, preferably into a care, house, business, or some other dog-proof shelter. Note that there is an exception to this rule: if multiple dogs are attacking you, try to get out. That is a very dangerous situation.

Cornbread

Cornbread is sometimes reserved for Thanksgiving and chili. Cornbread is a great breakfast food with bacon. It can be eaten as a side dish with barbecue. The possibilities are endless.

1 c AP flour

1 c cornmeal

2/3 c sugar

1 tsp salt

3 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 egg

1 c milk

1/3 c vegetable oil

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 9 inch round baking pan. In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Stir in the wet ingredients. Bake 23 minutes.

Muppets Now Review

Muppets Now is a new show, a modern, updated version of The Muppets Show. Though it has the same characters, the show felt very different. Granted, only the first episode is streaming on Disney+, so it's hard to give a definitive statement. To me, Kermit's voice was all wrong. It sounded almost like Bob Dylan's in his album Nashville Skyline. Over all, it's a cute reboot of the original show. It's family friendly.
