Part Four:Atheism
By Antoinette Durand
Atheism is part four of six in our religion series. Atheism is different because it's not a religion. According to American Atheists, "If atheism is a religion, then not collecting stamps is a hobby." Atheism is not a system of beliefs or a religion, it's simply the lack of belief in God/gods. It's not a denial that God/gods exist. 26% of Americans are atheists.

Sexism in Everyday Life
By Antoinette Durand
If you live in America (or many other places), you likely have encountered sexism in everyday life. Whether it's a movie or person in your life, you shouldn't have to put up with that. The first step is to recognise sexist situations. Many things that are sexist are internalized by woman and men, so it's important to pay attention to how comments and culture make you feel and how they depict woman and men.

Information from Insider.
The next big thing are double standards. For example, a woman can be called "bossy" when she's being as assertive as her male co-worker. A woman can make 80 cents for every dollar a man makes (the wage gap). Woman are expected to change their last name if they choose to get married. Only 18% of women keep their last name if they marry. Women even pay more for the same items because of the pink tax, or how feminine products cost more than the same male products (deodorant, razors, hair cuts, etc.).
From relatives asking girls if they have a boyfriend to friends pestering you about getting married, marriage and children are shoved at girls and women. Disney Princesses always get married as the happy ending. Make sure you do things for the right reasons, not the expected reasons.

8 Things That You Might not Know About Animals
By Michelle Durand
-Prairie dogs can actually kiss.
-Puffins use sticks as back scratchers.
-During COVID-19 we are told to always wash your hands (which you should do anyway). The capuchin monkey washes all hands and feet with urine!
-Everyone has an accent to someone, but so do sperm whales!
-The koala usually sleeps 22 hours a day!
-There are some weird names out there for groups of things like, a giggle of clowns, an army of caterpillars, but there is also a mob of kangaroos.
-Some people say we first eat with our eyes, well octopuses are close because they can taste with their arms.
-Farting is embarrassing, but turtles in the winter to survive they breathe through their butts.
