5 Things We Bet You Never Knew About Hot DogsHow the Sausage Gets Made: What the Heck is a Hot Dog?

By Antoinette Durand

Americans eat a lot of hot dogs, roughly 70 per person every year. That's 20 billion hot dogs! What are hot dogs, really? It's kind of a cultural joke, not knowing what hot dogs are made of. We're going to discover what is that enigma that is the hot dog.

Meat trimmings are taken and ground up. Spices are mixed into the meat. This mix is put into casings automatically. These newly cased hot dogs are in a long string of sausages. The hot dogs are now cooked through fully. They're now cooled in water and the casing is removed. The hot dog links are sent to by packaged.

Most hot dogs include these ingredients:

Meat-beef, pork, poultry, or a mix of those meats.

Water

Spices- 0epper, paprika, cinnamon, and garlic, just to name a few.

Collagen casing

Yeast extract

What are Introverts and Extroverts?

By Ember Hernandez

Our world is made up by introverted people, who usually like to relax inside or just not interact with others as much, and extroverted people, who love to socialize. Introverted people don’t lock themselves in their rooms and watch cat memes, some really like nature and literature. Extroverted people don’t go to parties all the time, they might just have a more outgoing personality. The question is, if you find an introvert or extrovert in their natural habitat, how do you interact with them?

Introverts are more secluded. If you see them at a party, a nice introduction and ask why they’re there is better than asking them to dance or do karaoke. I am a hybrid of introverted and extroverted. Introverts can be more selective about their friends because they're quieter and don’t meet as many people. First, find a reason to talk to them. Keep it quiet, and do not blow up at them with questions. Some introverts have social anxiety, thus the reason for being introverted.

It’s hard to talk to people, in my opinion. Too many possibilities of accidentally insulting, ruining social relationships with words that slip out. Some people just don’t like people (can you blame them?). Others just like simple activities more than interacting. There’s nothing wrong with that. Most aren’t Dorito-eating nocturnal people most imagine them to be. They just don’t act ‘normal’ so we fit them into typical stereotypes. They have caring personalities as excellent listeners.

Extroverts like to socialize. These people are more outgoing and go to more social events, but that doesn’t mean that they like peace and quiet every once in a while. It’s like saying a computer has to be fast or it’s not a computer. These people just like to tell stories or jokes. Extroverts are mistakenly known as lip gloss girls or jocks, but that’s not true at all! SO many love other things than partying. And these people are very loyal to you as friends, so keep that in mind.

Extroverts and introverts both are stereotyped way too much. Introverts like quiet or peace and extroverts like to be around others. But no matter which you are or if you’re a mix of both, it’s good to get out of the comfort zone to see if you’ll like something new!
