Thursdays
To me, Thursdays were always the most bland day. Everyone hates Mondays (obviously), Tuesdays aren’t much better. Wednesdays have hope in them, you’re almost done. Thursday is generally the day that I forget that there is an end to the week. Fridays are awesome (just ask Carl Azuz)!
The Sugar Glider
By Ember Hernandez
I have to admit, these furry little flyers are cute and sweet, and maybe you’d even like one as an addition for your family, (I know I do!) but here are some things you might need to know first.
1. They have a sweet tooth.
Sugar gliders in the wild have a natural sweet tooth and tend to drink nectar and eat tiny fruits. If you want to treat them, give these flying squirrels a grape or honeycomb. Too much sugar will put them on a crazy bend.
2. They need friends.
Sugar gliders are social creatures. It doesn’t matter if it’s a dog or a cat or even a turtle, they just need someone to play with.
3. They jump around.
Sugar gliders are very jumpy little marsupials. Once they’re awake, they’ll jump on you and zoom around and explore little crevices. You should at least devote one hour to play or cuddle with them.
Nonetheless, these cute little guys are adorable, are you should consider one. They live 10-15 years, so they are long term pets. And, they’re adorable!
Attention, all Parks & Recreation lovers!

If you watched the show, you might be excited to hear that there’s a special being made by the cast to raise COVID-19 funds! If you’re interested, check this out on Netflix. If you haven’t watched it, I suggest it but there is adult humor so check with your parents first.

Presidents You’ve Never Heard of: Millard Fillmore
By Antoinette Durand
Who is Millard Fillmore? I’ve honestly never heard of him. He’s not on a coin, and he’s almost lost to time. Fillmore is one of the men that history chooses not to celebrate. It’s amazing how we mourn and remember selectively. For every George Washington, there are probably four Chester Arthurs. Let’s remember Millard Fillmore, someone that no one really knows now.
Millard Fillmore was born in 1800 in New York. He fell in love with the teacher at his one room schoolhouse, Abigail Powers, and later married her.
In 1830, he moved to Buffalo, taking his Law business with him. In 1848, he was elected Vice President.
Fillmore signed the Fugitive Slave Act, unfortunately. During the Civil War, he opposed Lincoln.
Fillmore died in 1874.
