Crafts for Kids
By Antoinette Durand
Whether you need something for you and your siblings to do, your children, nieces and nephews, or anyone else, it's hard finding stuff to do with a group of kids. No one really agrees, and if you're not careful, tears can come. How do you have fun-real fun-during the Pandemic? You can't take anyone to the pool, library, or Chuck E Cheese.
Idea #1: Paper Airplane Landing Station
Cut roughly three large(ish) holes in a poster board. The holes should be large enough for the paper airplanes to fly through. Assign points to each hole, the smallest hole being the most points. Make sure to mark them on the board so no one gets hurt because he said this one had this many points and such. If you're with a particularly tricky bunch, leave out the points entirely. No one wants a lamp to be broken because a kid threw a hairbrush at another kid.
Idea #2: Painted Stones
This is an interesting time for kids and adults alike. Tell your story with painted story stones. You could paint a mask or empty plane to tell your COVID times story. You could also paint a mountain or the moon to distract you from COVID-19. Be artistic and creative like this.
Idea #3: Doll Parachute
Do you have leftover mask fabric? Cut it into a circle and attach yarn to the fabric with a hot glue gun. Liquid glue works, too. Tie the yarn around the doll's torso. A doll parachute!

Why Starbucks is repressing Black Lives Matter
By Ember Hernandez
Now Starbucks is a very diverse company. They offered jobs to immigrants, and allowed their employees to wear LBTGQ+ pins. So why are the people not able to wear BLM shirts and pins?
They thought their customers wouldn’t like all of this supporting Black Lives. I still don’t know why. Some people are hard to understand, especially racist people.
Admittedly, I have drank a lot of Starbucks in the past. But when hearing this, I decided to boycott Starbucks. Many others have, too. Apparently, they’ve gotten a lot of backlash about this. Then, they immediately tried to fix their mistakes by allowing their employees to wear the pins. Too late. Actually, some of their sales went down recently.
Please support diverse companies, and local ones too. If you want to share your opinion, that’s great. You should NEVER be silent. Show these people we all should feel safe in our own home towns.
Classic Issue:Companion News!

Quarantine has had a positive effect on animal shelters! Since no one can really do anything, people have been adopting more and more animals. More than 90 animal shelters have been emptied! If you want a cuddly companion as well, make sure to support your local no-kill shelters.
Dogs are being trained to sniff out the COVID-19 virus! “ Dogs can smell certain levels of hormones within the virus that we can’t.”, says anonymous vet. “ It might take a while, but the signal is to bark repeatedly if smelt on someone.”
Here’s your unlikely animal friends: Ronnie the dachshund, and Fluff the hedgehog. Fluff would hitch a ride on top of her furry friend and eat Ronnie’s food too! Ronnie was untrusting of anyone before she met Fluff, who was surprisingly calm and soothing. Sadly, Fluff has passed away, but thanks to her, Ronnie’s able to make friends.
And lastly, the new video game Animal Crossing: New Horizons, has been released! Try out this game if you can.
